TikTok Notes starts rolling out as a new rival to Instagram
TikTok has recently launched its new app, TikTok Notes, as a direct response to Instagram. This app is currently being tested in Australia and Canada, and the lucky users who have access have shared some exciting details and images of the app. One notable feature is the ability to add headlines to images above your captions, something that Instagram doesn't offer. The homepage of TikTok Notes is divided into two sections: one where you can see posts from accounts you follow, and another called "For You." This layout is reminiscent of Pinterest, with a neat two-column grid. While it's unclear whose posts are highlighted on the "For You" page, it's likely that TikTok uses its algorithm to suggest content similar to what you already follow. Overall, TikTok Notes bears a striking resemblance to Instagram, which is a departure from the usual trend of Meta (formerly Facebook) copying features from other social media platforms. With TikTok Notes, it seems that TikTok is returning the favor. TikTok initially announced the launch of this photo-sharing app in a notification sent to users without revealing many details. They named the app TikTok Notes and hinted that it would include users' existing and future public TikTok photos, unless they choose to opt out. As for the anticipated release date for the app in the US and other countries, that remains uncertain. We'll have to stay tuned for further updates.
