Xbox Game Pass Standard is missing some big games

Players are diving into Xbox Game Pass with its new Standard tier. They've found it lacks many notable titles, some of which were previously available.

Xbox explained the new Game Pass tiers in a post on Tuesday. For multiplayer on Xbox, use Game Pass Core. For PC games, get PC Game Pass. Game Pass Standard offers value for Xbox console gamers. It costs $15 per month, while Ultimate is $20 monthly.

With the launch, users noticed the retooled catalog (via Kotaku). Sorting games by membership on the Xbox site, Standard shows 370 games, Ultimate has 508.

This was expected as only Ultimate gets day-one launches. For instance, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, out in November, is only available on Ultimate. However, Standard misses some current first-party titles. Notably, Starfield, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Diablo 4, Forza Motorsport, and Hellblade 2.

Some first-party titles like Minecraft, Pentiment, Prey, Dishonored, and Psychonauts games remain on Standard. Yet, recent third-party additions are missing. Titles like Age of Mythology: Retold, Still Wakes the Deep, Star Trucker, and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn are unavailable.

There's a list on the Xbox subreddit showing some missing games, however, it's incomplete. Xbox hasn't clarified when day-one launches will come to Standard. They might arrive up to 12 months late or more.

Note, cloud gaming is only on the Ultimate tier.
