AMD’s New Graphics Card: What We Know So Far

A new graphic card, the RX 8800 XT might be released by AMD. This information came from Seasonic’s website on which this maker of power supplies listed this graphics card in its online power calculator.

This information is not confirmed yet but you can read about card’s energy needs. The calculator shows that the RX 8800 XT will use 220 watts of power and require two 8-pin power connectors. There were also graphic cards on Seasonic list that never became real products, so there’s a chance this RX 8800 XT listing is just a placeholder.

There is a big tech event in January, CEA 2025 and many experts believe AMD might reveal these new graphics cards here. RX 8800 XT could be one of AMD’s top product in this event.

RX 8800 XT could have the same power as Nvidia’s RTX 4080 Super. Also, AMD might be focusing on improving ray tracing, a feature that makes lighting and shadows in games look more realistic. This feature in the past hasn’t been as strong as Nvidia’s, but it seems like there are some improvements in this area.

Lisa Su, AMD’s CEO, recently hinted that these new GPUs will not only perform better in games but also have better ray tracing and new AI features.

Although we don’t have official confirmation from AMD about the RX 8800 XT, if you’re a gamer or tech lover, it’s worth keeping an eye out for more news at the beginning of next year.
